Campus Recreation Registration
Registration opens on September 27 for all Campus Recreation programs, except IM Sports, which opens for online registration on October 5; and Youth Programs, which opens for registration on September 4. Registration continues until an activity (event, lesson, class or trip) is full, or until three business days prior to the first class or trip. Early registration is advised. You may register for all Campus Recreation programming in-person at the office of each respective program during normal hours of operation. You may also register by phone by calling the office of each program. See each program’s section on this website or the Recreation Guide (PDF) for hours and contact information.
Payment
Payment is required at registration for all Campus Recreation programming. Campus Recreation accepts credit cards (VISA, Mastercard), cash, or checks (payable to “UC Regents”.) Tax Identification Number: Regents, University of California 94-6036494
Class Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation via mail or e-mail for your activity (event, lesson, class or trip). Please check your confirmation for accuracy. It will contain activity details, directions to the activity, parking information, and activity reminders.
Waiting Lists
Once an activity fills, waiting lists will be maintained. If a participant drops out of an activity, we will contact individuals on the waiting list, in the order they register, to fill the spot. Please do not come on the first day of activity unless you have registered and paid for the activity. Even if a space opens up, we do not allow others into the class ahead of those who are on the waiting list. Youth Programs: Only participant substitutions between qualifying siblings are allowed.
Cancellation
If a Campus Recreation activity (event, lesson, class or trip) is cancelled, participants will be issued a full refund. Campus Recreation reserves the right to cancel activities listed on this website or in the Recreation Guide (PDF), and to correct any errors, including dates or fees.
Refund Policy
Please choose activities with care. All reservations are considered final. A refund will be granted only if a waiting list exists for an activity, and the unit is able to sell your spot to a person on the waiting list. If the spot is sold, the unit will issue a credit or a refund minus $5 or a 5% processing fee, whichever is greater. Exceptions to this refund policy may be granted in the case of a medical or family emergency; please consult the program for information.
Accessibility
Accommodations for UC Davis students with disabilities will be provided with two weeks advanced notice. Please call, fax, or email your request to 530.752.1730 or campusrecreation@ucdavis.edu.
Online Registration
The Department of Campus Recreation is presently developing a new online registration system. During the interim, we are no longer able to provide online registration for Aquatics, Craft Center, Equestrian Center, Outdoor Adventures, or Youth Programs. We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary interruption may cause. You may continue to register for all Campus Recreation programming by phone or by registering in-person at the office of each respective program. For questions regarding online registration, please contact the Campus Recreation office at 530.752.1730. Thank you for your participation in Campus Recreation programming at UC Davis. And thank you for your consideration during this transition.
Waivers/Releases/Medical Forms
Many Campus Recreation programs require a waiver or medical form in order to participate. In some programs, participants must complete a medical form and waiver and return it at least 10 days prior to their first class or trip. Please visit the Campus Recreation website for any required medical form and waiver; which may be downloaded and completed prior to the first class, trip, or lesson.
Equestrian Center
If class enrollment is fewer than three riders, the class becomes a Private or Semi-Private lesson. If two riders have enrolled, their class is considered Semi-Private and includes five lessons. If one rider is enrolled, his or her class is considered Private and includes four lessons. The Equestrian Center will contact you prior to the start of lessons to inform you if your lesson has become Private or Semi-Private.
Parking
A valid UC Davis parking permit is required to park on campus Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. At designated lots, visitor parking permits may be purchased from dispensing machines for $6 (cash or credit cards accepted). Metered parking is also available in most lots, not to exceed the length of time posted for the area.
Transportation
Unless specified in on this website or in the Recreation Guide (PDF), transportation is not provided to off-site Campus Recreation programming, activities, and events. Transportation is the responsibility of each individual participant. For Outdoor Adventures trips, please consult the program information in this guide, or contact OA staff for transportation information.
