able, we will begin calling people on the waiting list. Only participant
substitutions between qualifying siblings (age and skill appropriate for
the program) are allowed.
Credit
In some cases, credits are given in lieu of refunds and must be used for
the specific program originally purchased. Credits must be used within
the fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) they are given.
Confirmation and receipts
All confirmations and receipts will be sent via email, unless otherwise
requested.
Dismissal from camp
There are times when the camp must dismiss a child due to a psycho-
logical, emotional or physical disability that precludes the child from par-
ticipating safely or effectively in a group. Dismissal will take effect only
after consultation among the parents, camper and the Assistant Director
of Youth Programs. Dismissal for the aforementioned reasons will result
in a complete refund for the unused days. On occasion, dismissal maybe
necessary for disciplinary reasons. This action will take effect only after
consultation among parents, camper and the Assistant Director of Youth
Programs. If a camper is dismissed for disciplinary reasons, there will be
NO REFUND for the unused days.
Camper t-shirts policy
All day camp participants in the following camps: Craft Camp, Horse
Camp, Movement Camp and Rectopia will be required to wear their camp
t-shirt each day of camp. We will provide one shirt per participant per
week of camp as a part of your camp registration fees. Additional shirts
may be available for purchase on a first come, first served basis.
Program Policy
The state of California requires that sponsors of recreation programs inform parents of the nature and structure of programs in which their children are participating. Child-care and recreation are differentiated by the State and the differences are included in a manual called The California Community Care Licensing Manual. Programs that meet the definition of child-care must be licensed by the State. In order to become licensed, a program must meet a variety of requirements related to facility, staff and program structure. Recreation programs, as defined by the State, are exempt from the licensing requirement, but it is mandated that parents/ guardians of children registered from recreation programs be notified of the following: Children participating in drop-in recreation programs are not there to receive structured child care and supervision. Children have the right to come and go from the facility and staff will not supervise children to prevent them from leaving the facility when they desire. The State also requires that the sponsor of the program have a signed statement from each parent/responsible party that they understand the conditions under which the facility operates and that it is not a licensed child-care facility.Home | Press | About | Contact | Student Affairs | UC Davis
