Wellness Philosophy:

My approach to wellness is finding a method that really fits your personal goals. Everyone is unique and we all have different things that we want to accomplish. Whether you want to have a healthier heart, stronger muscles, or just want to be physically active, it's always best to work towards that goal by doing something you enjoy!

Background:

I'm a third-year Nutrition Major and am planning on minoring in Exercise Biology! I've always been interested in living an active lifestyle. When I was younger, I enjoyed playing baseball with my dad and younger brother, as well as spending countless hours practicing martial arts. In high school, I played soccer and threw shotput and discus. I fell in love with lifting weights in my Senior year and I haven't left the weight room since. Originally, I wanted to be a bodybuilder (until I realized I really missed the performance-based / competitive aspect of sport), then I started powerlifting, then I discovered Olympic Weightlifting. For me personally, Weightlifting is the perfect combination of speed, power, and mobility. I've only been in the sport for about a year now, but I've put together some great lifts and have even qualified and competed on the USAW National stage!
