Passport Services

Face coverings are strongly encouraged for everyone, regardless of vaccination status.

Business or vacation taking you abroad? The Business Center is certified through the U.S. Department of State as a Passport Application Acceptance Facility open to UC Davis affiliates and the general public.

Our site offers the following products and services needed for a first-time passport and renewal passport applications by appointment:

Important Passport Checklist

Please Read Before Booking an Appointment

  • All applicants must be present at time of appointment
    • Minors under 16 years of age need both parents present or the DS-3053 form notarized with a copy of the non-accompanying parent's identification 
    • Applicants 16 & 17 years of age need at least one parent present
  • Completed DS-11 passport application, filled out in black ink
  • Photo: 2x2 with a plain white or off-white background on photo paper
  • Proof of citizenship (Birth certificate, certificate of naturalization, previously issued passport, etc.)
    • NOTE: All documents must be a certified or original copy
  • Proof of identification (Driver's license, official U.S. military ID card, government employee ID card, etc.)
  • A personal check (no temporary checks) or money order per application made out to the U.S. Department of State.
  • Important Updates on Passport Processing:
    • *Mailing times are not included in processing times. Processing times only include the time your application is at one of our passport agencies or centers. The total time to get your passport includes both processing and mailing times. It may take up to 2 weeks for applications to arrive by mail at a passport agency or center, and up to 2 weeks for you to receive a completed passport in the mail after we print it. Consider the total time it will take to receive your passport when you are booking travel.

Passport Book 1-2 Day Delivery

  • We strongly suggest that you use 1-2 day delivery service to return your newly issued Passport Book to you.
  • To request 1-2 day delivery, pay the $21.36 fee for each application, in addition to the required fees noted above.   
  • Please do not submit any prepaid return mailing envelopes or mailing stamps. Newly issued Passport Books are delivered via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, unless you pay for 1-2 day delivery return service at time of application.
  • 1-2 day delivery service is not available for passport cards, which are delivered via First Class Mail only.

Applicants can track the status of their application after 4 weeks*.
