Each year in early to mid-September, the band convenes for a week of fun and rehearsals to prepare for the upcoming season. When you attend the preseason retreat held on campus at UC Davis, you'll learn or improve your high-step marching technique, start learning the music and drill for the pregame and halftime shows, participate in leadership and team-building activities, and meet the friends you'll keep for the rest of your life—all before orientation!

On-Campus Housing for Preseason Retreat
On-Campus housing is available for Preseason Retreat for an additional fee of $350. This housing fee covers double occupancy lodging, linens, and three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Check-in will take place the morning of September 9 and check-out will be on September 14. More detailed information will be shared over the summer. Please register for the marching band and purchase on-campus housing, if needed, by August 5 at 11:59PM to secure your spot at Preseason Retreat. Registration for the marching band will be closed from August 6 through September 21. Registration will reopen on September 22 and we will continue to accept new members through Winter Quarter 2025.
