A Camps (Grades 1-2)
Aggie Camp A
Aggie Camp A

Aggie A is the perfect experience for our younger campers, comprising exciting outdoor and indoor activities that will promote teamwork, learning new skills and making new friends. Each week will have a designated theme that will be emphasized with themed activities. This camp will also go on exciting on-campus field trips, designed to give campers a fun and educational look at all that the UC Davis campus has to offer. Counselors will work to inspire campers to develop their creativity, bring them out of their comfort zones and help them build their self confidence in a safe and dynamic camp environment. From doing traditional camp games like tag to fun crafts such as tye dye, Aggie A will be sure to create memories that neither your camper nor you will forget!
This camp is scheduled to swim on set days. The swim schedule will be included in the Parent Handbook, which will be available in the spring. Campers who choose not to swim will have the option to participate in non-aquatic activities.

Swim Camp A
Aggie A + Swim

Aggie A Swim is the perfect experience for our younger campers, comprising exciting outdoor and indoor activities that will promote teamwork, learning new skills and making new friends. This camp also features built in swim lessons, giving your camper the opportunity to expand their swimming skills whilst also partaking in a rich and exciting camp environment. Much like Aggie A, each week will follow a theme emphasized with themed activities. Counselors will work to inspire campers by helping them build their self-confidence (both in and out of the pool) in a safe and dynamic camp environment. From doing traditional camp games like tag to fun crafts such as tye dye, Aggie A Swim will be sure to create memories that neither your camper nor you will forget!
The 30 minute swim lesson will occur right after the day camp Check In ends at 9:00am. Participants are REQUIRED to arrive in a bathing suit and sunscreen with a change of clothes for after the lesson. On Monday, campers' swimming levels will be assessed by the swim instructors and they will be placed into different groups.
In addition to swim lessons Monday-Thursday, this camp will have recreational swim on Friday. The swim schedule will be included in the Youth Programs Hub, which will be available 2 weeks before the program begins. Campers who choose not to swim recreationally will have the option to participate in non-aquatic activities.
We ask that each participant only register for two sessions of Aggie A + Swim per summer.

Craft Camps A
In these introductory craft camps, participants will have the chance to learn and strengthen new skills by creating unique pieces of art. Campers will be able to apply various techniques while exploring different mediums of creative expression through arts and crafts.
Craft projects will range from functional to decorative depending on the chosen camp.
The craft programs are designed to promote a fun, holistic learning experience with activities scheduled outside of the Craft Center during the afternoons. These may include craft related group games, camp-favorite medic ball, and utilizing various facilities on campus. These activities will also give campers a chance to explore the campus and meet other campers outside of their specific camp.
Ceramics A (two-week)

Ceramics A offers campers an introduction to a new outlet of creative expression through introductory ceramics projects. Campers will learn the basic ceramic techniques including coils, slabs, and pinch pots to create a variety of hand-built pieces. This two-week camp will encourage creativity and exploration of this new tactile medium while creating useable and decorative pieces. Campers will also have the opportunity to glaze or paint their pieces, turning them into marvelous finished works of art! Example projects include clay turtles, coil mugs, Monet-style lily pads, and pinch pot monsters.

Sampler A

Designed as an introduction for young campers to dip their toes into the world of art, Sampler camp focuses on exposing campers to a variety of art mediums which may include paint, charcoal, watercolor, and paper. Introductory techniques for each medium will be emphasized through the production of fun and engaging art projects. With the help of our counselors, campers will gain new skills to create art of their own, while having fun with fellow campers! Sampler camp is the perfect place for young campers to experience the breadth of art available, grow their fine motor skills, and express their creative sides. Example projects include pointillism landscape paintings, cork sailboats, paper mosaics, and color theory turtle posters.

Specialty Camps A
Dance: Exploration of Movement A (Two-week)

Interested in learning more about the world of dance in a safe and inclusive environment? Dance camp provides a two week experience where campers can find friends who share a common passion for dance and explore the art of movement through basic dance techniques, exercises, and engaging movement games. This environment offers a great opportunity for campers to not only learn about various dance styles and dance moves, but also gives campers a chance to practice essential social skills like learning how to work as a team and how to practice effective communication skills. At the end of each week, a special performance will be held on Friday, where campers will showcase the choreography they have learned to other fellow campers. This camp also offers other fun recreational activities such as rock climbing, bowling, and swimming to provide an exciting and well rounded camp experience. The swim schedule will be included in the Parent Handbook. Campers who choose not to swim will have the option to participate in non-aquatic activities.

Rec Sports Frenzy A

Create a memorable summer by participating in age-appropriate sports and athletic activities that introduce campers to an active lifestyle through a wide range of sports. This camp welcomes all skill levels, whether they have prior experience playing sports or are trying it out for the first time. Campers are given the opportunity to experience and compete in a variety of sports both in teams and individually. Sports include football, basketball, badminton, and other camp favorites. Each day will focus on one to two sports, and campers will have the opportunity to improve their athletic skills throughout the week. Rec Sports Frenzy is a great program for campers to not only learn more about the athletic world, but it is also an excellent space to practice communication skills, teamwork skills, and sportsmanlike behavior in a safe, respectful, and exciting environment. This camp also offers other fun recreational activities such as rock climbing, bowling, and swimming to provide an exciting and well rounded camp experience.
