The newly expanded and renovated Activities and Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art facility that was designed with inclusion in mind. No matter your fitness level, we invite you to come as you are and move with us. Our 150,000 square-foot facility features hundreds of pieces of top-of-the-line exercise machines and equipment, dedicated spaces for specialty workouts, a new outdoor fit yard, and so much more.
Our dual-level fitness center includes multiple functional and cardio spaces and is home to hundreds of pieces of exercise equipment. The downstairs core and fit yard offer strength sports equipment in indoor and outdoor settings.
Equipped with dozens of racks, platforms and benches in addition to a variety of brand-new strength machines, our state-of the art strength room has set the bar (literally!) for campus recreation facilities.
Our dedicated exercise spaces include a cycling studio with 27 custom Schwinn bicycles, a dance studio with suspension flooring and customizable bars, a martial arts studio with padded nonslip mats, and a group exercise studio outfitted with a range of exercise equipment. All studios feature floor-length mirrors so you can keep an eye on your form during class or open recreation.
With more than 50 routes of varying difficulty, the ARC Rock Wall is a modern facility that offers something for everyone. The wall's realistic rock-like texture and features will help you refine your technique indoors. Bring a belay partner or just drop by and meet new friends.
Our 20’ x 40’ indoor courts include four dedicated racquetball courts and four convertible courts for racquetball, squash, wallyball and table tennis. Court Reservations and equipment checkout is available for Campus Recreation members.
Watch people climb the rock wall or practice their jump shots while running on our indoor track that encircles the four-court gym. Our track features a high performance Pulastic floor and dedicated lanes for runners and walkers of all speeds.
Our convertible gym can accommodate four full-court basketball or volleyball courts, 16 badminton courts, or any combination of the above and features floor-to-ceiling court dividers, electronic scoreboards, and bleachers. The multi-activity court (MAC) is a convertible space to play basketball, volleyball, badminton or dodgeball and is outfitted with suspension flooring, inset goals for soccer, futsol or indoor hockey, a players’ box, BOSE speakers, and net dividers. Our locker rooms are outfitted with ADA-friendly lockers and benches and feature convenient showers and changing rooms as well as a separate lactation room. Our lockers are free for day use or are available for long-term rental at reasonable rates. The ARC also offers a gender-inclusive locker room, which contains a shower, and a restroom stall. Our lobby, study lounge and hallway lounges are great places to read, study or catch up with friends. The study lounge also houses a Wellness to Go vending machine for convenient, fast and affordable health and wellness products.
Grab a latte at our conveniently-located coffee shop. Peet’s Coffee at the ARC also offers a variety of snacks, grab-and-go foods, and baked goods to help you stay energized after your workout or between classes.
Refuel before or after your workout or between classes with a selection of protein bars, energy drinks and nutritious grab-and-go options. The Market at the ARC also has a selection of gifts, athletic apparel and gear, and school and testing supplies.
