Whether you're just starting a your wellness journey or want to take your workouts to the next level, our certified personal trainers are here to help you achieve your goals. 

We are excited to offer in-person personal training during Fall quarter to new and returning students, faculty, staff and community members.

Meeting Location for Living Well Programming

Classes will now meet at their scheduled location inside of the facility. Personal training clients will meet their trainer in the Living Well office located on the first floor of the ARC adjacent to the Business Center. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to your class or training session.

Clients will also have the option of having their session either take place indoors or outside. Please denote this when you email the Living Well Office to schedule your training.

Our certified personal trainers specialize in a wide range of exercise styles to help you meet your wellness goals.

 

Baseline Training Package (BTP) (new clients)

This all-inclusive service provides you with an overview of your current wellness and helps kickstart your goals. The package includes the following:

  • Baseline Consultation/Wellness Check (75 minutes)
  • One personal training session (60 minutes)
  • Nutrition Consultation (60 minutes)

Fee: $100.00

After purchasing an initial training package (single or buddy), download the intake packet below and bring the completed forms to the Living Well Office. The Living Well Office is located on the first floor of the ARC across from The Market and adjacent to the Business Center. 

Returning Client Package

If you wish to resume your personal training outdoors, please email us and include your trainer's name. Our office staff is working remotely during this time to schedule sessions with trainers.

Patrons must purchase and complete the initial training package before purchasing returning client packages.

  • One session: $55

Buddy Training Packages

Returning Client Buddy Packages

Clients must purchase and complete the initial training package before purchasing buddy personal training packages.

  • One session: $65 
  • Three sessions: $155 
  • Five sessions: $240 
  • 10 sessions: $450 
  • 20 sessions: $865 

*While buddies may have some differing goals, it is asked that similar wellness goals are established for buddy sessions.

Wellness Checks

Wellness Checks

Living Well offers several services to help you check your wellbeing. All services are available to all UC Davis faculty, staff and students. All testing requests should be directed to the LivingWell Office Staff at, livewell@campusrec.ucdavis.edu or 530-754-2179.

Body Composition

Get an individualized body composition profile from a certified personal trainer.  Each 15-minute session includes an electrical bio-impedance measurement to help you progress toward your wellness goals. After purchasing your session online, please visit the Living Well office to set up an appointment. Once purchasing your sales item, please email our LivingWell office at Livewell@campusrec.ucdavis.edu for scheduling your specific time from one of the dates below.

Baseline Wellness Checks (BWC)

Let our certified personal trainers check your current wellbeing and provide you with general guidelines to help reach your goals. This service includes checking for resting heart rate and blood pressure, body composition (using bioelectric impedance), cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, muscular endurance and strength. After purchasing your session online, please visit the Living Well office to set up an appointment. 

All wellness protocols have been modified to meet COVID-19 restrictions/best practices. This has resulted in modifying all 'hands-on' protocols.

Custom Wellness Classes

What are Custom Wellness Classes?

Are you involved with a department or club on campus and interested in creating a fun and interactive environment for your group? Are you a coach looking for new and creative forms of cross-training for your team during the off-season? Our team of group exercise instructors and personal trainers can develop a personalized, safe and fun program for your group whether you need a one-time class or a month-long training program. 

Who Can Benefit

  • Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) and Sport Clubs
  • SPAC student groups
  • Student clubs and organizations
  • Sororities and fraternities
  • Campus departments or offices on a regular basis or as a team-building event
  • Resident advisors for your dorm floor or dorm building
  • Special event coordinators (pre-season training, workshops, conferences, seminars)
  • Teaching assistants: provide “active” office hours

A quote will be designed based on the format, class size, location and groups affiliation with UC Davis.

Registration

To sign up, please return your completed request form at least two weeks prior to the requested date. Custom wellness classes are dependent on both instructor and space availability.

WorkStrong Program

WorkStrong Personal Training

The WorkStrong program is a UC system-wide initiative designed for those campus employees who have been injured on the job to reduce the risk of further injury and promote overall health and wellness. Employees who are eligible* to participate in this program will have access to free sessions with a WorkStrong trainer.
