Campus Recreation Well-Being Fee Waiver

Fee Waiver

Well-Being Fee Waiver Guidelines

The Well-Being Fee Waiver, provided by UC Davis Campus Recreation, aims to support the health, wellness, and equity of our students by making recreational activities more affordable. To ensure the integrity and fairness of our program, we have established the following best practices for using promotional codes. Promo codes are strictly personal and can only be used by the students to whom they were awarded. Policy violations include sharing your code, using the code for a class not specified in the application, and using your code more than once. Students found in violation of these guidelines may face disqualification from future participation in the Well-Being Fee Waiver program. Additionally, misuse of promo codes could lead to charges on a student's Banner Account.

WELL-BEING FEE WAIVER APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN
Spring '24 Applications are OPEN, apply below after reading the guidelines above

The fee waiver may be used for select programming offered by: Aquatics, Craft Center, Equestrian Center, Living Well, Member Services, Outdoor Adventures, Rec Sports, Sport Clubs and UC Davis Marching Band

The Well-Being Fee Waiver was created by Campus Recreation and allocates funds each quarter to make recreation and wellness opportunities more affordable. Awards must be used through the Rec Portal. The fee waiver program functions as a discount/credit and is not a reimbursement for past purchases.

Applicants must be current and active UC Davis students. UC Davis Extension students are not eligible. Applicants are allowed to apply for one (1) program offering per quarter. Applications will close quarterly once all award funds have been exhausted. Please be patient as it may take as long as two weeks to review the applications.

  3. Submit a complete Fee Waiver Application as soon as possible.
  4. Your application is reviewed and you'll be notified of a decision within two weeks.
  5. Awards are provided as a promo code for use at checkout and expire at the end of the quarter.
  6. Promo codes are strictly personal and can only be used by the students to whom they were awarded.
  7. Policy violations include sharing your code, using the code for a class not specified in the application, and using your code more than once.

Tips For Success

  • Please only apply for one (1) program. We recommend choosing the one you are most interested in.
  • Ensure you meet the requirements (including prerequisites) for your desired activity.
  • Apply as far in advance as possible – at least one (1) week before the activity start date (or as soon as applications open).
  • Do not purchase the activity before receiving notification of your application decision – the Fee Waiver functions as a credit/discount toward purchase, not a reimbursement.
  • Submissions are evaluated on the thoroughness, thoughtfulness, and completeness of all responses in the application. Please use complete sentences.
  • Incomplete applications, activities not offered through the Rec portal, and requests for certifications will not be reviewed.
  • Granted waivers do not guarantee a space in the desired activity, so apply and register early!
  • Awards are granted for student-level pricing, and some graduate students may need to pay the difference in pricing.
