Wellness Philosophy

Wellness means something different for everyone. Personally, I believe wellness is not just about physical appearance but also about your mental and emotional well-being. Enhancing your personal wellness can look very different, such as going to the gym, being with friends/family, or listening to music. Wellness is about taking care of yourself in whatever way suits you best and striving to be your best self. Everyone’s journey is unique, so it is important not to compare yourself to others, but to have insight into how you feel about yourself!

Background

Hi! My name is Clare Rowdon, and I am currently an undergraduate student at UC Davis studying Psychology! My wellness journey began when I joined my middle school field hockey team. As I went on to play competitive field hockey, my passion to get into better shape and start lifting weights grew. After this, I started doing a workout program with my parents, and I could feel myself getting stronger, and my overall performance improved. That experience solidified my desire to continue lifting weights and gain more knowledge about the gym. My goal is to provide a safe space for individuals to become more comfortable in the gym and to become the best version of themselves.
