Wellness Philosophy

For me, wellness is the unity of physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. Wellness is unique to each person, and I believe it is important for each of us to find a realistic and enjoyable balance for our own daily lives. Wellness isn’t just about moving your body or eating well, but feeling good about yourself and nurturing your life to make it enjoyable. I am honored to be trusted into someones wellness journey. Watching people grow stronger and more confident inside and outside the gym is my greatest reward as a trainer.

Background

Hi, I am Kayla. I am a Human Development major with a specialization in Health and Well-being and a minor in Community Nutrition. I grew up dancing since I was 5 years old, and even joined the UC Dance Team for a year and was part of a dance company on campus. I always loved moving my body and staying active. I became a barre instructor in 2019 and a yoga instructor in 2023. In between those certifications, I started lifting in the gym with a friend and fell in love with strength training. I also got involved in aerial arts and found a new hobby, similar to dance, that kept me active and creative. With my love for strength training and experience as a fitness instructor for 7 years, I was able to get my personal trainer certificate with the ARC. I currently teach barre, yoga, and aerial silks, and am a personal trainer. I love helping clients find what works for them to maintain their own wellness goals and be by their sides to cheer them on!
