Wellness Philosophy

I believe wellness looks different for everyone. For me, wellness is rooted in a strong mind-body connection and feeling good both physically and mentally. This means being in tune with how my body feels and maintaining a positive state of mind day-to-day. Since everyone has unique personal goals and mindsets, I believe there is no single approach to achieving wellness. Whether it be building self-confidence, finding community, or improving athletic performance, my goal is to support you on your journey toward your own version of wellness and help you feel your best self!

Background

Hi! My name is Mitee, and I’m an undergraduate Computer Science major at UC Davis. I’ve been dancing since I was five, specifically doing Chinese dance and ballet. Later on, I also started strength training, Pilates, calisthenics, and other sports. My background in dance has shaped how I approach fitness as I’ve seen firsthand the benefits of mobility, flexibility, and control over movement. While I’ve always been active, I’d say my personal wellness journey truly started when I came to Davis. Being surrounded by so many diverse people, paired with the ease of trying different athletic endeavors, has helped shape what wellness means to me. It has allowed me to see that, beyond aesthetics and athletic performance, there is so much power in being able to move your body. I truly believe exercising in any shape or form can bring you immense joy. I hope to share this joy with you, too!
