Wellness Philosophy
To me, wellness is about enjoying life while also making positive changes along the way. I believe fitness should be realistic and fit into your daily life, which makes it much easier to stay consistent and actually enjoy working toward your goals. My goal is to create a welcoming fitness space where everyone feels supported, respected, and encouraged to grow at their own pace, no matter where they’re starting from. I’m also passionate about helping others see the value of strength training for all bodies, no matter age or experience, and how it builds long-term health and confidence. Maintaining a well-rounded life is key to feeling your best both physically and mentally.
Background
Hi! My name is Sarah, and I am an undergraduate student at UC Davis majoring in Human Development and minoring in Psychology. Fitness has always been a big part of my life, as I grew up as both an athlete and a dancer. After stepping away from sports after my senior year of high school, I began weightlifting and quickly fell in love with it. I enjoyed how it made me feel both emotionally and physically, as I had never felt so strong or motivated before. Although weightlifting isn’t always portrayed as something for women, it has helped me redefine what strength means and taught me to feel confident in becoming my strongest self. By shifting my mindset around fitness, I’ve learned to focus on what my body can do rather than how it looks, and I hope to inspire others, especially women, to do the same.
