Join Outdoor Adventures for an unforgettable camping experience near Lake Tahoe! These trips are a fantastic way to make new friends, escape the daily grind, and unplug while exploring one of California’s most pristine wilderness areas.

This trip is rated moderate due to the physical nature of camping and outdoor activities. No prior experience is necessary, but participants should be comfortable with basic physical exertion. Check out our rating system for more information.
Trip Logistics
🕗 Timing: We will leave Friday between 12pm and 4pm, exact timing will be determined by the group. Most trips return by 6:00 PM, but exact return times may vary.
📍 Meeting Location: Outdoor Adventures Lodge, 1025 Extension Center Drive, next to the Rec Pool.
🗓 Pre-Trip Meeting:
All overnight trips include a mandatory pre-trip meeting held the week before departure. These are generally scheduled for Monday nights at 6:30 PM. Please check the offering description below for the exact time and date.
What’s Included?
✅ Outdoor Adventures Provides:
- Transportation to and from the trip location
- All necessary equipment (tents, sleeping bags, cooking gear, etc.)
- Most meals during the trip
- Experienced guides to lead the adventure
✅ Participants Must Bring:
- Snacks for personal energy needs
- Two water bottles (minimum 1 liter each)
Personal belongings (clothing, toiletries, etc.)

Outdoor Adventures trips are open to:
✔️ UC Davis students, faculty, and staff
✔️ The general public (18+ years old or actively enrolled at UC Davis)
