Impractical Welding is the sister class of Practical Welding, with a focus on the artistic side of welding while still learning all of the same techniques. Students make multiple small projects rather than one large one. Each class introduces a new material to work with, including nuts and bolts, horseshoes, rebar, screws, and scrap. Students are encouraged to bring in their own materials and project ideas as well.
Skills covered in the class include: fabrication and finishing techniques such as cutting, grinding, sanding, MIG and Oxy-Acetylene welding and drilling with a press. Students will be qualified for all the above after the class.
No previous experience is necessary. All levels welcomed. (Six classes)
Class includes a Studio Orientation. Includes welding studio class pass.
Please note: First class includes a mandatory safety review. Attendance is mandatory. Please wear long pants and durable shoes.
