Bio

Wellness Philosophy
My philosophy on wellness is that it involves all aspects of your life holistically, and is
really about personal optimization, not overall achievement. Everyone is unique.
Therefore, we all have different goals. Working towards goals that are sustainable,
realistic, and applicable to your own life will develop well-being. To find wellness, I
practice a balance of long-term goals with short-term goals in a way I can always be
accomplishing something positive while still having an overall direction in life. By setting
goals with awareness of my limits, I can push myself without hurting myself, and in
doing so, optimize my life mentally, physically, and socially.


Background
Hi! I’m Brandon, a second-year Nutrition Science major here at UC Davis. Back on the
high school water polo team, you could count on me to bench warm but now you can
count on me to bench press (with good form). I love to lift weights and I also enjoy
running, swimming, or any kind of activity that you could consider exercise. I am
studying at Davis to pursue a career in healthcare so I am constantly trying to learn
more about the human body. I am always excited to apply what I learn to scientifically
promote wellness for myself and others. Working out at the ARC is an activity that I
think anyone can participate in to improve physical and mental well-being so I am
enthused to help out anyone who wants to train.
