Wellness is about the synergy of mental and physical well being. I believe exercise is a great activity that has the capacity to relieve stress while bettering oneself physically. Exercise is a broad activity that can manifest itself in something as simple as walking or just moving some weights around in the gym. As a trainer I want to find what you enjoy, so exercise can be a fun break from everyday life not another chore on the list.
Background
Hello, my name is David. I am a second year Bio-systems Engineer here at UC Davis. I played sports in high school which helped me find my real passion, powerlifting. I really enjoy lifting heavy weights, but appreciate all forms of exercise. I love taking a scientific approach to exercise and spend lots of time researching and implementing exercise knowledge into my training. I enjoy seeing people progress and have fun in the gym and I think fitness is a great tool to meet new people and gain confidence.
