Nutrition Philosophy
I believe that nutrition is the key to a healthy life and that it is a fundamental part of preventative and holistic healthcare. Additionally, rather than eliminating foods from our diet, I believe that finding the right combinations and learning to listen to our bodies is a more intuitive and balanced approach to nutrition.
Background
What sparked my interest in nutrition was having to see a registered dietician as a middle school student. Upon talking to her, I was fascinated by the body’s way of healing itself holistically through food and lifestyle. I have also always loved biology, so I found that nutrition was the perfect opportunity to study the intricacies of metabolic pathways and apply that knowledge to daily life. Additionally, as a dancer, I enjoy studying about the role of nutrition in improving strength and stamina, as well as how food and physical activity are intertwined at a cellular level.
Specialties
Some of my specialties include plant-based nutrition, preventative nutrition, and nutrition education. I also love studying about how nutrient absorption can be vastly improved by combining the right foods together.
Interests
In my free time, I enjoy painting, dancing, playing board games, and having picnics. I also love doing yoga and Pilates to stay active.
Education
I am a third year Clinical Nutrition major at UC Davis. I will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2026 and plan to pursue a master’s degree after that.
