Wellness Philosophy:

My wellness philosophy is to make sure you feel good whenever you come to work out. Working on your body can bring plenty of positive effects on all aspects of your life. Wellness can look and feel different for everyone - there’s no perfect type of category for how you should look. I believe that by keeping this in mind you can motivate yourself internally and not solely by
external factors. As a personal trainer, I aim to help my clients feel like they want to continue to
work to be the most unique and best version of themselves they can be.

Background:

Hi, I’m Zoey Zander! I’m currently in my third year at UC Davis and majoring in Civil
Engineering. I’m a big fan of cardio, tennis, biking, and anything that involves swimming in a
pool. When I was growing up I did a lot of sports, though I usually found more of an interest in
soccer, water polo, or other team-based games. In high school, I had a personal trainer who
helped me realize how inspiring the position could be. Once I got into Davis I found more of a
love in going to the gym and working on strength and endurance training. Due to my prior
experience of being on the client side of the process, I reached out to take on one of the most
motivating and engaging positions in my life. I began my research into a field of study I had
never covered before, transforming my idea of exercise and what it means to “Come As You
Are” at the ARC. I hope to provide a sense of comfort and encouragement to guide others
around what can be done with personal training and help them reach their goals.
