Muay Thai

Muay Thai is a brilliant combat sport traditional to Thailand.  Contested in a boxing ring, it allows not only a full complement of hand, elbow, shin, and knee strikes, but also clinch grappling and sweeps for a truly complete stand-up fighting art. Unsurprisingly, Muay Thai is one of the most popular striking modalities trained by MMA fighters; this course can be taken as an introduction to MMA stand-up.

Our class is very safe, with no competitive contact expected. You will gain competence in all the major techniques - jabs, crosses, round kicks, knees, elbows, and basic clinch grappling - and will push your mobility, flexibility, conditioning and core strength to new heights while doing so. This course is offered in two identical sections, and students are welcome to join either or both.  Those with an interest in sport training or competition are encouraged to join both sections and can expect a strong progression.
