Features

The UCDHS Fitness Center is equipped with top of the line cardio, functional, and strength equipment. Equipment includes, but is not limited to: treadmills, stair climbers, elliptical trainers, cardio bicycles, rowers, selectorized weight equipment, power racks, free weights, and functional equipment.

Access to the UCDHS Fitness Center Facility

In order to gain access to the UCDHS Fitness Center, members must meet the following guidelines:

  • Members are required to have an active membership to enter the facility
  • Members are encouraged to access their virtual member ID using the Campus Recreation App
    • If members are having issues accessing the app a photo ID that matches the member account information may be accepted
      • Student ID, Faculty/Staff ID, Campus Rec ID, UCDHS badge, and/or government issued ID are all accepted

Membership Eligibility

  1. UCD Medical, Nursing, and PA students not paying fees
    • Medical, nursing, and PA students enrolled and paying fees receive complimentary membership
  2. UCD Faculty/Staff associated with the medical campus
  3. UCD Medical Residents
  4. UCD Medical Campus Retirees
  5. Postdocs
  6. Spouse/Partner of listed options 1–5

Proof of eligibility is up to the discretion of the administration. All members must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a membership.

Membership Pricing

  • One Day Membership: $10.00 (valid access for the date of purchase)
  • One Week Membership: $25.00 (valid access for one calendar week from date of purchase)
  • One Month Membership: $50.00 (valid access for one calendar month from date of purchase)
  • Annual Membership: $200.00 (annual membership from the date of purchase)

How to Sign Up, Purchase, or Renew a UCDHS Fitness Center Membership

Enroll in or renew UCDHS Fitness Center Membership.

  1. Login or Create an Account at rec.ucdavis.edu
  2. Select CR Membership
  3. Choose UCDHS Fitness Center Membership
  4. Select Duration, Start Date, Add to Cart
  5. Sign Waiver
  6. Verify Shopping Cart
  7. Checkout and Pay

Members will receive a confirmation e-mail verifying the transaction. Patrons may be asked to take a photo during their first visit to the facility.

Membership purchases must be made with a debit or credit card via our online portal or in person at the ARC. The computer at the UCDHS Fitness Center cannot be used to purchase a membership.

Cancellations

Campus Recreation/ARC patrons may cancel annual or recurring membership after a three-month minimum commitment. Membership payment and benefits will continue through the end of the month in which the cancellation was requested. 

Payroll deduction and auto-pay membership cancellation requests must be submitted by 5 p.m. on the 20th of the preceding month that you would like your deductions or installments to stop. If your cancellation is not submitted by that time, your cancellation will go into effect the following month and you will be charged without refund for that following month.

Refund Policies

Campus Recreation (CR) memberships will be refunded on a prorated basis only under the following circumstances: CR member has separated from employment with the University, CR member will be moving 50 miles or more from the facility (must provide documentation), or CR member has a documented medical circumstance that will not allow them to use the facility.

NOTE: All daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and promotional affiliate memberships are non-refundable. It is the patrons responsibility to cancel an auto-pay or payroll deduction membership prior to the 20th of the preceding month to avoid being charged. If Campus Recreation is unable to get in touch with the patron 90 days after initiation of the refund, the refund is void.

Campus Closure Policy

If the university cancels academic classes or closes campus, we will likely cancel all recreational programming and close certain facilities, etc. Efforts will be made to reschedule canceled classes/activities once the campus reopens. No refunds or prorations for memberships or canceled classes/activities will be issued.

Parking at the UCDHS Fitness Center

The parking lot requires a valid parking pass (B permit or eligible equivalent).

Members/violators that deliberately or routinely break policy will be required to provide their information (name and ID card/number) to Campus Recreation staff. Policy violations will be reviewed by facility staff. Appropriate disciplinary actions, including a verbal warning, removal from facility, restricted use of facilities, and loss of membership privileges is up to the discretion of the administration.
