Wellness Philosophy

Taking care of ourselves and our bodies is meant to be a job of fulfillment. One of the most positive wellness ideas that should be emphasized is the idea of imperfect consistency. To have discipline at times when motivation cannot pull through, and to show the strength to improve little by little no matter what yesterday entailed, is one of the primary aspects of being on a wellness journey. This is the exact message I would highlight when speaking with those beginning to change their health for the better. Showing up for yourself and continuing to move forward, and letting go of the infamous “all or nothing” mindset, is setting yourself up for sustainable progress - imperfect progression, but progression nonetheless.

Background

Hello, my name is Jasmine! I am going into my fourth-year at UC Davis as a biological psychology major, and am planning on going into medicine after my undergraduate degree. I did Taekwondo up until college, and am a first degree black belt. Participating in Taekwondo opened up my love for fitness, and instilled in me the confidence and discipline I continue to strive towards today. I believe wholeheartedly in mind over matter, and this shift in mindset has allowed me to work towards the healthiest version of myself. I have learned overtime that maintaining a wellness journey comes down to establishing a sustainable lifestyle, and prioritizing enjoyment of the process along the way. With your personal goals in mind, I hope to bring you the same fulfillment I have found on my own wellness journey!
