Fitness Philosophy

When most people think of fitness, they tend to focus on the idea of looking good physically and being “in-shape”. However, I believe fitness should be more focused on taking care of your health physically and mentally so that you can lead a healthier and happier life. Putting time and effort into something that you enjoy starts to build your self-esteem and confidence; when you start feeling good about yourself is when you start to look good.

Starting to build healthy habits and incorporating some form of fitness into your daily life is so important. Whether it be weightlifting, cycling, a pick-up game of basketball, or a walk around the park, moving your body in some way makes you feel good and ready to take on life.

Background

Hi! My name is Lily Trouchon and I am currently a second year at UC Davis studying Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior with a minor in Psychology. I grew up in Sacramento, CA and I am pursuing a pre-health track. I was quite an active kid growing up, but my love for exercise flourished when I started doing karate at 7 years old. I quickly fell in love with the sport and the complexity of the art form and now I travel internationally to compete with it. Karate led me to having a passion for fitness, weightlifting, and the grind of working on your mind, body, and spirit. I would love to be your trainer and hopefully pass on my love for fitness to you!
