Exercise is a celebration of human movement, and you are invited!
I believe every exercise session has something to offer. While it’s human nature to string together these sessions to work towards a goal, I think the greatest part about exercise is feeling present, alive and well. As a trainer I hope to extend this companionship with exercise, creating programs that fortify the body against injury and promote exercise longevity. I also believe in good communication, namely, explaining the “why” of the exercise that my client and I pick, and specifically how that exercise is helping my client achieve their goal. My ultimate goal as a trainer is to facilitate positive exercise experiences which highlight all the wonderful things that the human body can do. I sincerely hope that these experiences serve as a springboard for client lifelong enjoyment of exercise.
I’ve always loved sports and have been participating in them from a very young age, soccer in particular. Some of my greatest relationships and experiences originated in the field of athletic competition. As I grew more competitive, my scientific mind began to be curious as to how I could train to improve my athletic ability. However, after many sports related injuries during highschool and college, I was unable to compete anymore. My focus shifted towards exercising for longevity and maintaining healthy joint and movement mechanics. I currently am a regular exerciser, enjoying the experience of exercise that I had missed while injured.
